Nikolai Gogol's famous story of the series "Mirgorod", the creation of which the author is widely used various historical sources: a memoir, chronicle, research, folklore materials. "Taras Bulba" has long been part of the school curriculum. But it is good to keep in mind that reading this story needs wisdom, rarely peculiar young age. However, perhaps it is superfluous note: the classics always work that way.
